Therapy should feel like a safe space where you can show up as your full self.

Without fear, without judgment, and without having to explain the basics of your identity. Whether you’re navigating your gender and sexual identity, healing from religious trauma, or looking for support in your relationships, you deserve a therapist who truly understands you.

I see you. And I’m proud of you for being here.

Finding a therapist can feel daunting, and I know how much courage it takes to take this step. But you’re doing it—and that matters. Whatever has brought you here, I want you to know this: you deserve care, understanding, and a space where you don’t have to justify who you are.

If you’re feeling weighed down by depression, overwhelmed by anxiety, struggling with relationships, or working toward a healthier relationship with your body and food—you’re not alone. I’m here to help you process, heal, and move toward a life that feels more like yours.

In our work together, you won’t be met with judgment or blank stares. You’ll be met withwarmth, authenticity, and real support. No matter where you are on your journey, I’ll walk alongside you as we navigate healing together.

What can you expect from therapy with me?

  • A space where you don’t have to shrink yourself to fit in.

  • A therapist who shows up authentically (yes, I use humor in sessions).

  • A collaborative approach—this is your healing journey, and you get to decide what it looks like.

No matter what you’re bringing into the therapy room—whether it’s questions about your identity, wounds from past relationships, religious trauma, or just the weight of being human—I’m here to hold space for it all.

Hi, I’m Rachel!

Therapy is a space where you get to be your full, messy, complex, and beautiful self. And I’m here to help you navigate it all.

As a cisgender queer woman, I know how important it is to have a therapist who truly gets it: someone who sees you, respects you, and doesn’t need the basics of your identity explained. My priority is making sure you feel safe, heard, and supported in a way that feels right for you. I take a feminist, systemic, and psychodynamic approach to therapy, which means we don’t just focus on the present. We explore how your past experiences, relationships, and the larger systems around you have shaped who you are today. Healing isn’t about “fixing” yourself, because you are not broken. It’s about understanding yourself with compassion, challenging the patterns that no longer serve you, and moving toward a life that aligns with who you truly are.

My Background & Experience

I’m an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #148345)* providing therapy for clients across California, both in person (Chino, CA) and virtually.

*Supervised by Desiree Hernandez, LCSW (#74698)

I received my Marriage and Family Therapy Master’s degree at University of La Verne and have worked in community mental health, working with adults who have experienced intimate partner violence and elderly abuse, as well as with children who experienced trauma. Most recently, I worked with a local LGBTQ+ Resource Center, providing treatment for those in the queer community, including those who identified as gay, bisexual, pansexual, lesbian, non-binary, trans, and those exploring. I also have experience working with people who are ethically non-monogamous (ENM).

Some specialties of mine:

LGBTQIA+

Being queer in this world comes with unique challenges, but your identity is something to be celebrated, not questioned. Whether you’re exploring your gender or sexuality, navigating coming out, starting your transition, or seeking deeper self-acceptance, this is a space where you can be fully yourself without fear or judgment.

I provide an affirming, inclusive space where you can process, grow, and connect with your identity in a way that feels right for you. No matter where you are in your journey, you don’t have to figure it out alone: I’m here to support you.

Religious Trauma

If your faith experiences have left you feeling lost, hurt, or disconnected, you deserve space to process and heal, without shame or pressure. Religious trauma can take many forms, from spiritual abuse to rejection after coming out, and its impact runs deep.

Together, we can untangle what you’ve been through, explore your beliefs and values on your terms, and find a path forward that feels safe, empowering, and true to you.

Whether you’re deconstructing, reconstructing, or redefining what spirituality means in your life, you are not alone in this.

Anti-Diet/Fat Liberation

We live in a society that teaches us that smaller bodies are “good” and larger bodies are “bad.” But that is a lie. Your worth is not defined by your size, and your relationship with your body deserves care and compassion.

I work from a Health at Every Size (HAES) perspective, helping clients unpack internalized anti-fat bias, challenge diet culture, and build a more peaceful relationship with their body and food. Every body deserves respect, care, and the right to exist exactly as it is.

Partnered/Couples Therapy

Relationships hold so much love, but they can also hold misunderstandings, unmet needs, and unspoken frustrations—sometimes the same ones, over and over again. Whether you’re looking to deepen your connection, navigate challenges, or create more balance in your relationship, I can help.

I work with couples of all identities, including ethically non-monogamous and polyamorous partners, to strengthen communication, rebuild intimacy, and ensure both of you feel heard and valued.

Drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman methods, I take a collaborative approach—because every relationship is different, and your path forward should be, too.
